Tarka Pottery

Friday 21 February 10am - 12noon Feed the Birds

From February 21, 2020 10:00 am until 12:00 pm

Get into Spring with this fabulous half term workshop where you can make your own bird feeder to hang outside.

We'll be using crank clay which is gritty and tough, perfect for outdoor use.  We've got a couple of ideas and we'd love to see your designs too! The technique of the day is the traditional and versatile pinch pot, alongside using textures and hand-modelling of shapes that you might like to attach to your bird feeder.

This workshop lasts 2 hours.

We have workshops every Friday morning during school holidays in 2020 and the studio is open Tuesday - Saturday. Did you know we can offer this project as a party or to a group another time if you can’t make the advertised workshop? Contact us to arrange a better date.

  • £16/child £20/adult making per project including glazing and firing*
  • age 7+ unaccompanied
  • 6 and under welcome with one free of charge adult helper
  • adults can book to make their own project

You get to glaze your project during the workshop before it’s fired in one of our kilns ready to collect within 2 weeks.
