When can I book my experience?
We recommend you book your experience voucher as soon as you receive it. You must have undertaken your experience before the expiry date stated on your Voucher. We are open all year round, please contact us to book. Experiences are subject to availability. To avoid disappointment we recommend that customers book well in advance, although we may occasionally be able to fit in a booking at short notice. Vouchers should be brought to the studio by the recipient on the day of the experience.
Can the recipient upgrade their voucher?
Yes they can swap it for an alternative experience, just by paying the difference in price when booking. They can also add further participants by paying the additional cost. Just contact us to check availability.
Can I exchange my voucher?
You can upgrade for experiences for one of an equal or greater value. If your exchange is more expensive than your original voucher you will be required to pay the difference. The original expiry date stands. To exchange your voucher please call or email us. The cost of returning your original voucher is borne by the voucher holder.
How long is my voucher valid for?
Vouchers purchased have a validity period of 6 months from date of purchase unless otherwise stated. Experiences must be booked and undertaken prior to the expiry date printed on the Voucher, otherwise the Voucher will be deemed to be invalid and no liability will be accepted by Tarka Pottery.
Can I extend the date of a voucher?
Expired vouchers cannot be extended. Vouchers donated by Tarka Pottery and given as a prize in a competition, raffle or won in a charity auction cannot be extended. If you can’t take your experience within the validity period and provided your voucher has not expired, you may be able to extend it for up to three months upon payment of an administration fee of £20/voucher. Prior to expiry, the administration fee along with the original voucher must be returned to Tarka Pottery for an extension to be processed. The cost of returning your original voucher is borne by you.
What's the Tarka Pottery cancellation policy?
If an experience is cancelled by Tarka Pottery either before or on the day of the experience due to circumstances beyond our control, we will arrange to re-book the participant at a mutually agreed time. Tarka Pottery cannot be held liable for any costs including (but not limited to) travel expenses or pre-booked accommodation costs incurred by the participant in the event of a cancellation. Tarka Pottery’s total liability for any claim in connection with a Tarka Pottery experience shall be limited to the price paid for the experience.
Once you make a booking with us you are bound by our terms and conditions. If you find you need to cancel or change a booking with less than 7 days’ notice, we reserve the right to charge a fee of £10 to cover admin and re-booking costs.
What about competition, raffle, auction prize vouchers?
Vouchers donated by Tarka Pottery and given as a prize in a competition, raffle or bought in a charity auction cannot be extended for any reason.
Or third parties and re-sale?
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer and are governed by and in accordance with English law. The purchaser of a Voucher and/or the participant in an experience agrees to the jurisdiction of the English courts. All the clauses and sub-clauses in Tarka Pottery’s terms and conditions are independent of each other. If one clause or sub-clause is invalid or unenforceable, this will not affect any other clause or sub-clause. These terms & conditions are subject to change.

What's the Environmental Policy?
At Tarka Pottery, we aim to minimise our effect on the environment as much as possible. We try to re-use as much as possible any packaging that we receive from our suppliers.
We have made efforts to ensure that the paper and cardboard content of our packaging materials is recyclable and will be accepted by cardboard recyclers where facilities exist.
In the studio we have recycling facilities for paper, cardboard, plastic and metal.
Take Out Kits
Pack is on hire for 7 days. Please return all loaned equipment, laminated instructions, tools and the box to the studio with you painted or completed projects.
If you cannot get to the studio, we can deliver at the charges stated. Dates of delivery are subject to change. Payment is required by PayPal and ensure your contact details are up-to-date. Once payment is received, we’ll email or call using the details provided to confirm collection/delivery.
Pottery paints are non-toxic and food safe after glazed firing. Paint should wash off clothes. It is your responsibility to supervise children when using pottery paints, clay and materials provided. Tarka Pottery accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any damage or injury caused by misuse.
