Fancy staying on-site when you come for an experience at Tarka Pottery?

Glebe Cottage is a 400-year-old, two-bedroom converted farmhouse, which sleeps up to four. Full of character and history, the cottage is cosy and comfortable for self-catering, fully centrally heated and double glazed to provide you with all the comforts of home including Wi-Fi.

With parking for 2 cars and delightful views, the cottage is in the heart of the beautiful North Devon countryside, and only a short drive from the historic coastal towns of Barnstaple and Bideford with beaches.

Just a 5-minute drive from the ever-popular RHS Rosemoor Gardens and Dartington Crystal.

The cottage accommodates up to 4 people, with one double and one twin bedded room, available for stays of 2 nights or more.

Your entire party (or just one or two of you) can book onto a Tarka Pottery experience, while other guests are welcome to just enjoy all that North Devon has to offer.

Many of our cottage guests like to book in for three or four full days in the studio with Jax – especially useful for those who are setting up their own home pottery studio.

Want to know how to load a kiln, ask about firing temperatures and kiln programmes? Enjoy a practical behind-the-scenes look at how we operate, with time to ask questions about recycling clay, buying glazes and test firings. You’ll also get to find out tips and tricks Jax has learnt in her many years of running a studio.

All pottery experiences must be booked in advance to avoid disappointment.

You can book a stay in our self-catering accommodation with or without pottery experiences too.

• Self-catering pottery breaks at Glebe Cottage are available all year round.
• You can book 2 or more nights accommodation with pottery tuition for 1 – 4 people.
• The cottage is available to book without pottery tuition, for 3 nights minimum stay (peak season bookings – minimum 7 nights).
• We also offer pottery workshops without accommodation, whether you’re on your own, with a partner or a larger group of family or friends.
