Note: ’experiences’ refers to class, course, pottery painting, workshop or any activity organised by Tarka Pottery

GENERAL

To ensure the safety of our customers and staff we have had to make some changes to how our experiences are run. To learn more about these changes please read our COVID-19 precautions below. We are committed to being responsive and vigilant. We will continue to regularly monitor advice from Public Health England and the UK government and take the necessary action to help us all stay safe.

You must comply with all rules and regulations issued by us and please pay particular attention to any requirements as to dress or the wearing of protective equipment.

Disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour, language or threatening behaviour towards staff or other customers will result in you being asked to leave the studio. Any payments already made to Tarka Pottery will not be reimbursed in this event.

BOOKINGS AND PAYMENT

Bookings are subject to full payment as set out on the Tarka Pottery website.

Online payment is by Stripe – by credit or debit card – only. All card payments made over the telephone are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, your order will not be accepted, and Tarka Pottery will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.

EXPERIENCES

The terms of Tarka Pottery’s price list and these terms and conditions constitute the terms of the legally binding contract between you, the customer, and Tarka Pottery.

Bookings are for a specific start, finish, and time duration. If you do not attend on a punctual basis, we cannot guarantee that you will receive your full experience.

We do not offer provisional bookings; all bookings must be confirmed by payment otherwise we cannot guarantee that your booking will go ahead. If your date of choice is fully booked, you will be offered the next available date.

CANCELLATIONS

Our cancellation policy is designed to give customers the freedom to amend a booking without penalty when enough notice is given, but we have some conditions around short notice cancellations which have an impact on other customers and our business. We will always try to help where possible within the limits of our business. Please read our terms of cancellation carefully.

Note: We strongly advise that customers have a suitable travel/activity insurance policy in place that can provide cover for common issues such as ill health or travel disruption.

TERMS OF CANCELLATION

All cancellation requests must be sent in writing by email to studio@tarkapottery.co.uk. If you have not received an email confirmation within 5 working days, please contact us on 07931 306414. Unless you have received a written acknowledgement from us that we have received your request, you cannot consider your booking cancelled.

Note: all cancellation terms apply to bookings made when redeeming a Tarka Pottery voucher.

BOOKING CANCELLATIONS MORE THAN 21 DAYS BEFORE BOOKED ACTIVITY

You may request a change of dates up to 21 days prior to your booking and we will happily transfer your experience to another date subject to availability without cost.

You may request a refund up to 21 days before your experience.

BOOKING CANCELLATIONS WITHIN 21 DAYS OF BOOKED ACTIVITY

Cancellations due to reasons unrelated to COVID-19 received within 21 days of the course start date – payments are non-refundable.

However, you can transfer/sell the booking to another person free of charge if you notify us.

Should you need to cancel due to COVID-19 within 21 days of your booking, you will receive a voucher of equivalent value valid for 12 months from the start date of the original booking. You forfeit the voucher and experience should you not book and redeem within this time. We cannot guarantee dates and it is advised to book in advance.

If a person who is booked in for an experience fails to attend for any reason, they will not be entitled to a refund or a re-booking.

We may, in our sole and absolute discretion, vary our cancellation policy and we may ask for documentary evidence to make this decision. Any refunds awarded at this stage will be subject to an administration fee.

VOUCHERS

Vouchers are valid for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase and cannot be redeemed after the expiry date.

E-vouchers are provided free of charge to the email address provided at point of purchase. There are additional costs associated with a postal voucher. Such costs are added and shall be paid at the point of purchase. Please allow up to 7 days for delivery of a postal gift voucher.

Experiences must be booked in advance and the voucher must be produced when attending. Booking contact details are provided on the voucher.

Vouchers are non-refundable other than within the 14-day cancellation period as per the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. No change or credit will be given should the voucher value exceed the total cost of the experience – for example where a £100 voucher is used to purchase a £95 experience. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash. Lost, stolen, or destroyed gift vouchers will not be exchanged or refunded.

Vouchers can be used for part or full payment of any experience or to purchase products from Tarka Pottery. If the cost exceeds the amount of the gift voucher, the balance must be paid in full at the point of booking.

Bookings made using vouchers are subject to the cancellation policy above. However, vouchers must be redeemed within the expiry date stated.
